History

“Kanmon Strait Fireworks” was held as “Asia Port Festival in KANMON88 Kanmon Fireworks”. It was placed “Minato railroad centennial memorial works support fireworks”.

In Shimonoseki side, it was sponsored by Shimonoseki 21st Century Association. In Moji side, it was sponsored by Moji 21st Century Compact Town Development Association. In 1988, this festival was born as Japan's premier Fireworks which set off 13,000 fireworks from both banks of a river across Kanmon Strait.

Real impression

・Be congested because of many participants.

・Substantial stands can enjoy a variety of foods.

・Fireworks are big scale and it has many kinds of pattern.

・Moji-ko side is better than Shimonoseki side because they have devised for color and shape.

・When you back to home, we recommend you to go to station early. Because station will cloud when fireworks display was finished.
